St. Paul's invites you to join us!
We invite you to come worship, and break bread with us! We are proud to be a part of the Kilgore Community and hope to see you soon!
About The Episcopal Church
The Episcopal Church is a church that is rich in scripture, reason and tradition. Our heritage and faith are great in reaching all the way back to the time of Christ Himself.
Here at St. Paul's, we are a church family. Ultimately, God is most concerned with our hearts; our faith is more important than whether or not we make the sign of the cross at the "right" time. We lift up Christ in our liturgy, Christian education, spiritually inspired music, community outreach and various ministries. We strive to look beyond ourselves to serve God in our community. We seek to share Christ's light and God's grace with others. We welcome all here at St. Paul's, so come as you are!
History of St. Paul's
St. Paul's was officially recognized as a mission in the Diocese of Texas on
October 2, 1935, after coming together as a small group in 1934. The current location was given to the mission in 1941 by Mr. Roy Laird. A small house was remodeled as a chapel and occupied by a congregation in October, 1941.
The present-day church building was completed in 1951 and the first service was held on Easter Sunday of the same year. In January, 1954 the mission became a parish. The Parish Hall was dedicated on All Saints Day, 2000.
